Butterflies, rain or shine
BY KAYLA MCELVEEN

Annual Butterfly Festival at Dunwoody Nature Center

Get an up-close encounter with a dozen species of butterflies at the Dunwoody Nature Center's Annual Butterfly Festival on Aug. 20 in Dunwoody. From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., visitors can walk through two giant tents and interact with free-flying butterflies. The festival also features a birds of prey show, reptile and other animal encounters, educational booths, arts and crafts vendors and music.

Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 4 to12 and free for children age 3 or younger. There is no public parking at the nature center; visitors are asked to park at the nearby North Atlanta Church of Christ. Shuttles will be running throughout the day. For more information, visit dunwoodynature.org or call (770) 394-3322.
