Dancing Goats FolkFest is a harkening to the old mountain shindigs and a sharing of endangered art, music and oral traditions. The juried folk art and craft show will present the work of untrained artists, known and new. The music will be foot-stompin' and the storytelling will recall the old mountain tales. There is plenty of old-fashioned fun for the youngsters (we don't call them kids for obvious reasons) and a chance cheer on your favorite goat in this year's Goat Beauty Pageant. There is no admission to Saturday or Sunday daytime events, and just $10 buys a ticket for a 6 p.m. Saturday concert featuring the Gregg Erwin Band and the Mike Watson Band. A special Sunday treat will be a free Gospel Brunch at 9 a.m.
