Hollywood at Hardman

This special event celebrates our 150th Anniversary at Hardman Farm! View props from the 1950s movie "I’d Climb the Highest Mountain" that was filmed right here in the Sautee-Nacoochee Valley and meet residents who participated in the filming project. Popcorn and refreshments will be available for purchase. This is a family-friendly event. Old-fashioned games will be on hand for the kids. When it gets dark, join us for a viewing of the film. Bring your own blanket or chairs. Movie included in Grounds Admission: $6 per person. Concessions will be available for purchase.

Day Out With Thomas Train

Thomas the Tank Engine will be rolling on the SAM Shortline again, better than ever. The Party Train Tour offers children and their families the unique opportunity to take a ride with Thomas, the No. 1 blue engine, and enjoy a day of fun-filled Thomas & Friends-themed activities. Passengers will grab their party passes to pick up favors at each stop along the way. Families can spend a whole day with the beloved storybook engine, Sir Topham Hatt, participate in lawn games fun, have a blast in the bubble zone and check out the gift shop. Thomas departs every hour from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., rain or shine, from the state park.

This self-guided tour is meant to be a starting point in exploring the journey of African Americans in our community. It contains some brief biographical information on those who shaped our history; a timeline critical to putting events into context; and a brief driving tour to link people and places. 2021 KPMG Women's PGA Championship

The KPMG Women’s PGA Championship — a collaboration between the PGA of America, KPMG and the LPGA — continues the rich tradition of the LPGA Championship. Broadcast in partnership with NBC and Golf Channel, the Championship offers a purse among the highest in women’s golf. The event combines one of golf’s most exciting majors with the KPMG Women’s Leadership Summit and an ongoing charitable initiative, the KPMG Future Leaders Program – all focused on the development, advancement and empowerment of women on and off the golf course.

Hardman Farm to Table Dinner

Farm Animal Fun Day

Appalachian Jam

North Georgia's mountain music pickers, singers and listeners flock to the Dahlonega Gold Museum State Historic Site for the annual Dahlonega Appalachian Jam. The Appalachian Jam gives traditional mountain music players the chance to get together and celebrate the kind of music that has been performed in the Appalachian Mountains for generations. Musicians are invited to bring their instruments and gather on the historic Public Square to jam. Everyone else should come on down and listen or dance. Bring a chair or stool and stay awhile!
