History Cherokee is off to the races for its 21st Annual Kentucky Derby Day fundraiser. Enjoy an unforgettable afternoon filled with southern charm, thrilling horse racing and a dash of Derby flair. Guests will enjoy a hat contest, bourbon tasting, pony pull, food by Riverstone Corner Bistro, a silent auction and watching the running of the 150th Kentucky Derby on the big screen.
The event will take place from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m..
- Northeast Georgia MountainsConcert
The 2024 Arts Council Fundraiser is "Wasting Away...with The Arts Council" on Saturday, May 4 from 6-10:30 p.m. at the Smithgall Arts Center in downtown Gainesville.
Dinner begins at 6 p.m. (provided by Margaritaville at Lanier Islands food and beverage vendor) and features a low country boil.
A1A :The Original and Official Jimmy Buffett Tribute Show concert begins at 8 p.m.
Table Sponsorship are available from $1,000 to $10,000; dinner and concert tickets are $150; and, concert tickets are $50. Concert ticket holders are admitted at 7:45 p.m. No outside food and beverages are permitted at this event.

Legacy meets tradition since 1972!
The Cotton Fair has been a staple in the community of Gay, Georgia for more than 50 years. Each year during the first weekend of May and October, the festival brings a bustling crowd into our historic town of Gay. The festival is a chance to discover over 300 unique, skilled artisans and one-of-a-kind crafts and antiques.
Gates are open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day. We ask that you do not bring pets for the safety comfort of all our guests. Service animals only. Parking is free and on a first-come, first-parked basis.
Adult (11 - 64) $15
Senior (65+) $10
Active Duty Military $10
Children (10 and under) FreeParking is Free in all CF lots.

Six Dance Lessons in Six Weeks, a play by American playwright Richard Alfieri, has two characters: Lily, the formidable widow of a Baptist minister, and Michael, an acerbic dance instructor hired to give her lessons. Lily lives alone on Florida's gulf coast. Her tutor, Michael, had to leave his life as a chorus boy on Broadway, taking work as a dance instructor.
As the play opens, Lilly is waiting for her first of six weekly in-home dance lessons. She is Michael's first client, and their first lesson does not go well. Each lies to the other about their lives. Their relationship is antagonistic at first, but as the lessons continue, a close friendship develops. They begin to enjoy time together outside of their lessons, sharing their deepest secrets and gifts.
The play runs for three weekends from April 26 thru May 12 (Friday and Saturday shows, 7:30 p.m. Sunday shows, 2 p.m.).

- Classic SouthFitness & Health
The Ten-Miler is a competition to test your endurance and will be in support of the Fort Eisenhower Strong B.A.N.D.S (Balance- Activity- Nutrition- Determination- Strength) program. This event will begin at 6:30 a.m. and last until noon on May 4.
Army installations world-wide are banding together for the annual Strong B.A.N.D.S. campaign in recognition of "National Physical Fitness and Sports Month" during the month of May.
Participants will be given Strong B.A.N.D.S. wristbands that symbolize the community's commitment to a healthier lifestyle.

Country music singer-songwriter Deana Carter will perform live in concert along with her full band on Friday, May 10, at Columbia County Performing Arts Center.
A portion of the ticket proceeds will benefit The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.

Over the last several years, Dublin’s Farmers Market has experienced much growth, noting more than 30 vendors each week and 350 patrons during peak produce season.

The City of Conyers hosts a series of new free concerts coming to you this spring! The second show in the series features the one-and-only “Mother’s Finest,” an American rock band that formed in Atlanta in the 70s.
