For its first in-person fundraiser in more than two years, the Women’s Resource Center to End Domestic Violence (WRCDV) is honoring former National Poet Laureate and Pulitzer Prize Winner Natasha Tretheway at Champions for Change. On Thursday, May 5, 2022, WRC supporters and friends will join together at 42 West at 1088 Huff Road NW in Atlanta to raise funds to support our city’s diverse community of domestic violence survivors and their children and WRCDV’s programs to promote safety, compassion, connection, advocacy, and prevention. This annual fundraiser is a major source of funding for domestic violence survivors in the Atlanta area. In 2021, the nonprofit served 5,393 individuals and its 24-Hour Dating and Domestic Violence Hotline answered 4,215 calls.
