Join Jose Santamria, author and director of the Tellus Science Museum at the Cherokee County History Center on April 25 at 7 p.m. to learn all about the Georgia Gold Rush, the origin and geology of Georgia’s gold deposits, first discoveries of the metal, mining methods, boom and then bust, winners and losers, and how the gold rush changed the course of history. This lecture will be held at the Cherokee County History Center, located at 221 East Marietta St. Canton, GA 30114. Preregistration is not required but is highly recommended. This program is free to attend.
