Thanksgiving "Ride the Rails and Model Railroad Open House Event" Friday and Saturday Nov. 24 and 25. Enjoy a 40-minute, 5-mile round-trip ride in open-air railroad motor cars. Departs from the Historic Depot, noon through 4 p.m., and travels through the Iron Bridge over the beautiful Toccoa River, climbs the grade out of the river valley to Murphy Junction and then returns to the depot, where you can view the double-deck model railroad representing the L&N railroad in the Tri-State area, circa 1948-52. Free parking. Free viewing of Model RR. Motor Car Ride: Donation $15 adults 18+. Youths 3-12 are $5. Model Railroad is accessible. Ride may be accessible depending on rider's ability to transfer.
