Opening night is Family Night, all tickets are $10. General admission is $15; reserved seating is $20; for groups of 20 or more general admission is $12. Shows are at 7 p.m. on April 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and 30. Matinees are at 2 p.m. on April 23 and 30. "Tales from the Altamaha" is an award-winning folk-life play performed annually at the historic Blue Marquee Theater in downtown Lyons. The cast and crew are a talented group of volunteers from all walks of life. A new collection of tales from the writings of Colonel T. Ross Sharpe is turned into a one-of-a-kind South Georgia must-see event. Sing along with the River Rat Review Band as they sing old-time gospels, classics and original tunes. Laugh and cry as we relive tales of regional settlers’ lives, loves, losses, scandals and just plain ol’ gossip.
